Happy Midsummer's Day! Well, tomorrow.
If you've been following our #MidsummerCountdown, you know we challenged ourselves to make a podcast in a month. On May 20 we gave ourselves the challenge, because June 20 is Midsummer's Day, and it was too perfect to pass up for a show called A MIDSUMMER'S QUARANTINE.
The challenge wasn't just to see if we could buckle down hell-week-style and make the whole production happen, it was to see if we could make it without putting ourselves through hell. Our company may be called Faustian Nonsense, but we have standards. One of them? No crunch time. We treat ourselves like everyone should be treated: fairly and with compassion.
And so, we limited those of us who are full-time to 7 1/2 hours a day, 5 days a week. No overtime. And it worked! Writing, recording, even making art and music--we did it all, and because we didn't exhaust ourselves, we did it well, we think.
We'll be releasing on time, starting tomorrow. You can listen to A MIDSUMMER'S QUARANTINE on your favorite podcast app, or on our website. When you do, let us know what you think! Leave us a review, or email us at hello@faustiannonsense.com.
And if you like what we do and want to support us, you can contribute to our Patreon. Everyone who signs up by tomorrow night will get a special AMQ enamel pin!
